Combination of purse and organizer for the paper format A7 in soft, matt, naturally grained, black cowhide (either with two or three spring spine rails) with three by two credit card pockets, a big banknote pocket with two partitions, a big coin pocket, an insert slot for the identification or the driver's licence and a pen loop.
Where can you find such a compact wallet that provides space for 18 credit cards, two pockets for banknotes, a large coin pocket as well as a pen and a fully-fledged calendar? Nowhere! The Duo 4 is unparallelled worldwide.
Those who look at the Duo 4 exactly and compare it to wallets from other suppliers will be able to see: It is the perfect combination of wallet and organiser. A second glance reveals five subtle differences:
-
In comparison to other wallets, the Duo 4, full to capacity, does not bulge. The reason: As with the X47 organiser, the Duo 4 provides credit card holders on top of one another rather than in layers. This has four advantages: The cards lie snugly on top of each other and protect each other. The Duo remains thin and maintains, even after years of use, its form and provides the flat surface that you need to write on an insert. The additional insert for a further 6 credit cards matches this concept convincingly: it consists of a flexible cover that can hold three credit cards – naturally next to each other.
-
Both banknote pockets are designed so that more banknotes, receipts or tickets fit without springing open.
-
The coin pocket is sewn on both the cover flap and coin pocket interior. This leads to an increase in capacity while retaining the same format – we are just using the available space cleverly. Under the coin pocket you will find the ideal place for your driving licence and I.D card. The pocket is meant exactly for this purpose and naturally strengthens the underside of the coin pocket without making the wallet thicker.
-
The Duo 4 provides the possibility to attach up to three X47 inserts in DIN A7 format. If you bear in mind that the X47 DIN A7 inserts provide as much writable surface as a normal, considerably larger DIN A6 loose-leaf diary, the advantages are obvious. You can organise yourself perfectly with this model. Whether you use the weekly or monthly calendar, the plain notebook, with squared paper or lined, with an address book or not – every user finds their optimum combination.
-
The pen fills the available space in the Duo 4 ideally: the holder is attached to the inner left side of the cover flap. The flexible pen loop holds the pen firmly and – paying attention to this special characteristic – protects the inserts. If you look at the Duo 4 from the side, you will recognise that not one milimetre of space is wasted. Everything has its place, everything is safely stowed away and arranged compactly. But watch out! If the Duo 4 comes across a little heavy when completely full, it shouldn't really be such a surprise: 18 credit cards, some coins, banknotes and inserts all need space and leave their mark, even in Duo 4. The quantity of material is simply there and the laws of physics can not be sidestepped.
The most common insert combination for the Duo 4 are:
-
Notebook and address bock (for two spring loaded spine rails) and
-
weekly calendar and notebook (for three spring loaded spine rails).
You can read more about how the Duo was created in the X47 Chronicle.
