The MaBook in shiny, robust, smooth, black, cattle neck leather has five spring bars, two credit card pockets, two big insert pockets as well as insert slots for notes and a personal organizer in leather.
“The MaBook should be suggested for exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.” Says Prof. Bitsch from the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf, Design Department.
The MaBook is actually hard to describe. And very difficult to photograph. Even the best photographers despair, because the MaBook seems to leave an unbridgeable gap between image and reality.
The MaBook has no pen holder, no space for credit cards and doesn’t fit in a jacket pocket. It weighs almost as much a two packets of butter and is actually the exact opposite of its smart, light X47 brother. Nevertheless – it is a dream.
The MaBook is a proper book. It has leather cover pages with insert panels. It has a proper book spine. It has a particularly thick outer cover that, apart from the fact that it has the perfect proportions to the paper block, also has two small secrets, invisible from the outside: On the inside of the left hand book cover, a mini-wallet with two credit card holders and a pocket for banknotes is concealed. On the right, you will find Post-It Notes® sunk into the cover. Both fit into the outside cover in harmony – invisible, as soon the inside cover is closed.
The MaBook is often called “The Bible” or “The Hymnbook” because, at first sight, it appears as such: solid, confident, firm. It is intended for a extra special type of person. People, who love books; people, who love quality leather products or fans of writing and of preserving momentos. You really get the impression that the things you write in this book are protected forever. Its weight and the impression of solidity triggers the impression of perpetuity and immortality. Do you think we are exaggerating? Why don’t you try it?
The MaBook is unique. Unique in its function that is only possible by using the X47 spring loaded spine rail, unique in its simple design and unique in its perfect proportions.
