Even though the format was originally designed with men in mind, it has also proven popular with the fairer sex.

The original template was the good old German mens wallet in DIN A6 format, the basis for designers of suit pockets all over the world. The leather organizer / planner is designed so that it offers the maximum paper surface, is easy to write on and can be carried around in a jacket pocket permanently - the X47 spring loaded spine rail and the particular cut make it possible.

The leather organizer / planner is available with two, three or four spring spine rails, depending on what the user needs: If an address book or index register is needed alongside a notebook and week-by-week calendar, then four spring spine rails are the right way to go.

In contrast to the average mens wallet, the credit card holders are arranged in pairs in separate layers, rather than spread out uniformly along the complete length. In this way, the leather organizer / planner retains its form and does not bulge. This is so in both the inner left interior of the organiser, in which four credit card slots are provided, as well as the inner right interior, where you can find two slots. Six credit or business cards can be accomodated if stored singly or even up to 12 if the slots are used twice.

Furthermore, the leather organizer / planner provides two large pockets that run along the whole length of the interior. Banknotes, ID cards, photos or loose pieces of paper can all find their place here. The pocket on the right is precisely tailored to the X47 folded scheduler. If the scheduler is slid in, it is protected from damage, easy to use and covers up any credit cards - ideal for the discrete user.

So that the leather organizer / planner slides easily in and out of a jacket pocket, the pen holder is, unusually, placed along the top of the opening, rather than on the side. Placing the pen on the side would have mean that the organiser would have had to have been made 2cm narrower, which also would have meant a reduction of 20% of the area available to write on. That is definitely the opposite of what we are aiming for.

The most often used insert combinations for the A6 leather organizer / planner are:

• Weekly calendar (two booklets) plus note book three of the spring loaded spine rails are used and the folded scheduler is also inserted. The organisation of addresses is often done using a mobile phone.

• Weekly calendar (two booklets), note book plus address book - four spring loaded spine rails are used and the folded scheduler is also inserted.

• Monthly planner plus note book – just using two spring loaded spine rails

• Monthly calendar plus two two month booklets of the daily calendar and a note book – all in all four spring loaded spine rails.
