How the Trio was invented – told by Tina Sieg
I was already thrilled by the organiser, and then even more by the Duo 4, because the Duo 4 kept its good looking, well-kept and slim form even with a coin and banknote pocket and several credit cards and it still had space for a small booklet for notes. That impressed me greatly. From now on, I could write down my shopping list. The unorganised paper chaos could finally find an end. One of the pieces of paper gets lost, one is forgotton on the kitchen table, the other in the office. There was light at the end of the tunnel. Not only my daily fruit and veg ration or “what do I need from the shops”, even less common errands such as a trip to the pharmacy could all be noted in the right place, without being forgotten. If I want to go shopping – I have my wallet with me, and consequently all my important information. Absolutely wonderful. I can get used to that quickly. It is a real improvement to everyday life.
And then you can even insert a calendar! That was the solution to all my unorganised confusion. Now I always had my calendar with me, without having to carry another book around, I could do what I liked with my time and have all the information I needed with me. I was happy.
But better is the enemy of good. In the cafeteria I had the ultimate idea: I had just put my tray on the transport belt and was collecting all my things at high speed to prevent them disappearing into the unknown depths of the canteen kitchen. I was holding my mobile phone against my wallet, and my car keys were between the both.
And then I knew: the mobile phone has to be integrated into the wallet!
It all has to be combined into one product! Then the constant searching in your handbag, for whatever, is finally over. One movement and you have everything in just one hand. The time is also long gone when you had to turn back because you had forgotten something. And the times where something slithers from your grasp, usually exactly when your boss or the nice colleague from the third floor is watching.
It is that easy to have a good idea. And then it all started: The prototype. The trio should be practical and good looking. It should contain lots of space for credit cards, it should open quickly and safely at the checkout, it shouldn’t waste any space and combine all three functions (wallet, organiser and mobile phone - hence the name Trio).
There was a lot of handiwork, sticking, testing, functionality tests, changes and then some more. It required quite a bit of time until all the ideas had been tried, abandoned and revamped, the right handling found, the functions proven and tested.
And then it was finished: The Trio Grande. If I need to go to an appointment, I only need to pick up one thing to have everything I needed with me. I don’t have the chance to leave something behind or to forget something. And irrespective of the many functions and high quality, I can carry a chic and extravagant product with me.
Actually, if I am honest, I developed it for me.
